Time would have you believe It’s naught but a linear path Endlessly flowing one moment to next The future proceeding the past
Consider each day a stacked domino Placed countlessly all in a line At midnight it topples the next over And thus the continue of time
Of course this implies that fate does exist Each minute decision pre-made What is the point if no doubt we are All passengers riding a train
I challenge you not to find answers Instead to become in control Escape and observe your own timeline Play god and assume his role
To test you would look to the past And pick out a favourite day You’d pick up that fallen down domino And place it in front of today
Next you would look to the future And erase what you’d rather not live The hurting, the heartbreaks, the financial loss A happier life you would give
Your life is substantially shorter Whilst noble was your endeavour You notice that your last domino Is closer than it was before
Do ponder of which you’d prefer To live happier or longer on Earth Perhaps it is better if we don’t control What happens from death to our birth
Let’s trust in the system that brought us to life Who are we to question or moan Time is best when it’s kept linear Just leave your dominoes alone
