Cosmic wide screen.

How fun our humanoid quarrels must be To those who watch on their cosmic wide screen Our lives entertain as we kill out of greed Whilst we pray and wonder why they don’t intervene

Yet the truth and reason is right under your thumb Do the one percent spare a thought for the slums? Do you think of the homeless each night that they starve? Do you care for the sinless lockup behind bars? Do kids care for ants that they burn with the sun? Do parents empathise with their child’s tantrums?

To those we think less we tend to ignore Their trials, their chaos, their permanent flaws To the powers that be or the man in his seat We are light entertainment garbage day-time TV

Their help won’t arrive, nor advice they will share It is simply on us to build a world that is fair
